Court and procedural deadline calculations
The calculator uses the application’s published catalog of rules and procedures. It selects a rule version based on the reference date and returns an explained result. Coverage depends on the available rules; it does not guarantee support for every possible procedure.
How the deadline calculator works
Start with the procedure that applies to your matter and check the information you enter.
- Choose an available procedure or calculation rule.
- Enter the reference date and the additional options requested for that procedure.
- Select the court or district where required for the calendar.
- Review the resulting dates, explanations and any warnings before using the result.
Civil procedure
The catalog includes civil procedure rules and scenarios, with support for successive steps within a procedure. Each result identifies the rule and version used. The lawyer checks that the selected procedure matches the facts of the case.
Administrative procedure
The application supports cataloged administrative procedure and Council of State rules. Available options and inputs follow the specific rule, rather than applying a single counting method across different procedures.
Criminal procedure
The catalog also includes criminal procedure rules. Choose the available option relevant to the case and review its conditions. A rule being present in the application does not remove the need to check the applicable law.
Court holidays and suspensions
The engine uses calendar entries and recorded suspensions with national or local scope. Weekends, holidays and suspension periods are taken into account according to the selected rule. Exclusions do not apply in the same way to every deadline.
Understand how each date is reached
Results include calculation steps, excluded days and date adjustments where the rule calls for them. You can inspect the path from the inputs to the final date instead of receiving an unexplained number.
Save a calculation with its case
Save a calculation against your case and organise the associated deadlines in the application’s calendar. Calculation information is retained so the result can be checked again.
Recheck deadlines when rules change
When a catalog rule, calendar day or suspension is updated, affected stored calculations can be flagged for review. The application supports recalculation against the updated catalog. This depends on the catalog being maintained; it is not automatic confirmation of every change in legislation.
Review before relying on a result
The calculator is an aid to professional work. Check verification indicators and warnings: catalog rules may still await legal review. The procedure, inputs and final date require confirmation by the lawyer.
